Are you in Year 10 or Year 11 and studying Japanese or Asian Studies?
Then this workshop is for you!
We invite you to the ANU for two days of focused Japanese language instruction and lectures from the experts about Japanese culture and society. You will be partnered with ANU students of Japanese to mentor you for a number of Japanese language activities and to introduce you to life at the ANU. Come as a school group together with your teacher.
Costs
The 2011 workshop is free. The workshop will cover the costs for accommodation, meals, and workshop materials.

Workshop objectives
- Develop your Japanese language skills
- Learn about the contemporary issues facing Japan and Japanese society
- Meet like-minded people from across the ACT, NSW and Victoria - including those already at university
- Learn about the joys of studying Japanese at the university level
We hope this workshop will help build relationships with the schools in our region so that the ANU can better engage, collaborate with and support high school students and teachers of Japanese in the future.
