Asia and The Pacific face unprecedented challenges, ranging from pressure on the social structure to environmental collapse. These challenges are not regionally specific but are a part of global crisis, amplified by COVID-19. Not only has the pandemic exposed extreme social inequalities, a fumbling global financial system, and weak political structures it has also raised fundamental questions about ravaged ecozones and extractive industries, public infrastructure, human-animal relations, and the modern values of freedom, security, and solidarity.

In this series of webinars we seek to bring together a range of senior and emerging academics, practitioners, and industry to join us in discussing how Asia and the Pacific are responding to the most recent global crisis through culture, society, and people.
