Date & time
This virtual symposium is to bring together professionals and academics to discuss the interconnection between language, health, and well-being. We are interested in the social, cultural, historic and linguistic significance of these interconnections, as practiced by the peoples of Asia and the Pacific. Of particular interest are contemporary issues on the intersection between language, health and well-being, such as the form and function of language in medical practice, health-care services, literacy, education, and in health policy. This is especially relevant in light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, which has deeply impacted people across the globe in many ways, changing the way we engage with the world.
