Rina Kikuchi

Four award-winning Japanese women poets will present their work in this bilingual poetry performance reading together with their translators.

Living between California and Kumamoto, Hiromi Ito will read her poetry with her award-winning US translator Jeffrey Angles.

Living in Belgrade, Kayoko Yamasaki is a poet of the Japanese diaspora. She will read her poems together with Indian/Australian poet Subhash Jaireth.

Tokyo based Harumi Kawaguchi will read from her latest Takami Jun award winning collection with Canberra based poet Melinda Smith.

Fascinated by Japanese dialects, Takako Arai will read from her latest work exploring the voices of Tohoku with NZ/Australian poet Jen Crawford.
