CHL Archaeology and Natural History announces a new course offering for Semester 1 2016: ASIA8046 - Maps and Mapping for the Social Sciences and Humanities. Aimed at students who want to make custom maps that incorporate spatial data collected in the field, this course provides the theoretical and practical skills needed to produce basic maps using GIS computer software. We will also probe theoretical aspects of cartography to uncover the various meanings of maps and their use in the social sciences and humanities. This course is approved as an elective in both the Master of Asia and Pacific Studies and the Master of Archaeological Sciences programs. For more information, see the ASIA8046 Programs and Courses page or contact Dr Jack Fenner.
