Applications are now open for the Professor Darrell Tryon Research Scholarship. The scholarship was established in 2013 in memory of Professor Darrell Tryon and supports one lucky PhD student to undertake a 3 month exchange at L’Université de la Nouvelle-Calédonie in New Caledonia. The scholarship will cover return airfare, on-campus accommodation, office facilities and a monthly stipend. Students will have access to a supervisor at UNC.
The program provides an opportunity for students to meet other students engaged in Pacific related research, to experience New Caledonian life, politics, and culture, and to have access to a differing academic experience and perspective as part of their graduate research.
The scholarship is open to graduate research students in any of the fields of study belonging to the Social Sciences and Humanities, including the Arts. You just need to be currently enrolled and have finished more than 12 months of study.
Applications close 7 April 2017. To submit an application and for more information, go to the ANU Global Programs system.
