Fiji Internships Program

Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students: Interested in getting academic credit for a month in Fiji?

The Fiji Internships Program in the School of Culture, History and Language is open to undergraduates and postgraduate students interested in doing an internship with a Fiji cultural organization for academic credit or as an audit course (ASIA 3006/6506). Undergraduate students enrolling in the course should have completed their first year of study by November 2011.

The program consists of three pre-departure sessions, a 3-4 week work placement, in-country meetings and a debrief session in February 2012.

ANU Students will be placed with the Department of Culture and Heritage in the Ministry of Education in Suva, Fiji, and will work with organizations such as the Fiji Arts Council, the Fiji Museum and the National Trust of Fiji in the areas of culture, heritage, environment, education, and arts programs and policy.

An information session will be held on Thursday Sep 1 at 5:00pm in the Basham Room, Baldessin Building, CAP. Light refreshments will be provided.
