Dr Eva F Nisa

Eva is a senior lecturer of anthropology. She is also a scholar of Islamic studies, anthropology of religion, religion and gender, researching how global currents of Islam reshape the lives of Muslims in Southeast Asia and beyond. Her research interests include Islam and Muslim societies, Islamic cultural economy and halal industry, the global politics of moderate Islam, gender relations, religion and media (social media), Islamic literature, Islamic thought, and Muslim refugees and migration.
