The Asia Pacific Journal of Anthropology (TAPJA) is an international scholarly peer reviewed anthropology journal published jointly by Anthropology in the School of Culture, History and Language in the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific and the School of Archaeology and Anthropology in the College of Arts and Social Sciences at The Australian National University.
TAPJA publishes social and cultural anthropological research with a focus on the Asia and Pacific region, including Australia. This region has been a crucible for significant advances in the discipline and remains an important site for the development of concepts and debates. The international focus of the journal encompasses regional scholars and emerging voices from centres of research in the region. The journal's success is underpinned by a rigorous peer review process and a strong local editorial team (Editors and Editorial Advisory Board) supported by an international Advisory Board which includes scholars from the Asia Pacific region.
The journal is available through Taylor & Francis Online, and to over 9000 libraries and institutions under EBSCO. It was formerly published as Canberra Anthropology (1977–99) and these 22 volumes are also now available through Taylor & Francis Online.
