Zara Maxwell-Smith

Zara is investigating how speech recognition could be used in classrooms to better understanding teaching. Her fieldwork will examine an Indonesian language teaching case study, using methods from computational linguistics to analyse word frequency and collocation (how words co-occur).

Zara teaches the ANU Extension Program - Performing Indonesian. She co-wrote the program which blends skills-based learning, guided research, and performance with carefully selected vocabulary specific to Indonesian politics and culture.
