Let's Jom! with the Malayasian Students Organisation and immerse ourselves in Malaysian culture!
The expression "Jom!" is commonly employed in Malaysia as a means of formally inviting others to engage in an activity together. This embodies the spirit of this event, a bazaar-styled affair hosted at University Avenue, which aims to foster unity and inclusivity within the Malaysian community in Canberra while encouraging others to engage and immerse themselves in Malaysian culture at the same time.
Vendors from the wider Malaysian permanent residency community, as well as stalls set up by Malaysian students, will offer a diverse range of art, cultural, and historical goods and food for purchase. Additionally, the event will feature special workshops and presentations held throughout the day, including batik painting, traditional games, and other activities organized by the Malaysian Students' Organisation (MSO) of the Australian National University (ANU) and its partners.
