Tulsi Rajyaguru is a PhD candidate at the Australian National University School of Culture, History & Language, researching philanthropy in Australia. Tulsi’s research is on the ambiguity that exists in the process of exchange, and how the tension between the ‘known and ‘unknown’ is navigated and negotiated during philanthropic giving by philanthropists, philanthrocrats and not-for-profit organisations. Prior to commencing her PhD, Tulsi had worked in government and the not-for-profit sectors on a range of issues, including environmental and heritage protection, gender equity and mental health.
