The Canberra JLPT will administer tests for N1, N2, and N3 only, with limited capacity for each level. The test site in Sydney will accommodate N4 and N5 examinees with no capacity limits
The JLPT test in Canberra is held only in July every year.

Mobile phones, smart watches and similar devices are BANNED from use from the beginning of the test until all sections have concluded, INCLUDING DURING TEST BREAKS. You may bring them but they will be held by staff for the entire test day duration.

Getting There

Light Rail
Get off at Alinga Street Station; the test venue is a 10 to 15-minute walk from there.
Bus
From the airport: Please take bus number R3 to Spence and get off at City Interchange. The test venue is a 10 to 15-minute walk from there.
From any other part of Canberra: Please take any bus that gets you to the City Interchange. The test venue is a 10 to 15-minute walk from there.
Taxi or Rideshare Service
Please get off near the intersection of University Avenue and Childers Street and walk for 5 minutes to the test venue.
Parking
FREE parking will be available on the test day if you park at one of the university parking spaces.
In general, if you park in spaces with the signages displaying “PAID PARKING” and “Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm”, you will not have to pay for your parking on Sunday
